Nice guy and he liked the downtown urban look for his outdoor images. He had this brick red shirt and it went perfect with the buildings on Historic Third Street. Any of you that know Carl probably already know he is a National Merit Semi-Finalist! Way to go Carl.

Back in the late 80′ and early 90’s I owned a real estate appraisal firm. Interest rates were at all time lows (for that period in history) and the mortgage refinancing business was crazy – and residential appraisers along with it. It was common for me to be at the computer writing appraisals until two or three in the morning.

If I complained about having to work so hard my Dad was a big one for saying, “Got to make hay while the sun shines!” (he was retired) I always felt if he said it one more time I was going to strangle him with my tape measure. (not really of course)

Late summer as a senior portrait photographer is kinda like the appraisal business. We were crazy busy all summer creating fun images and now I have the orders to work on. It means endless hours behind the computer, removing blemishes, softening eye bags and “popping” the eyes. Please don’t mis-understand, I’m not complaining. After all – you gotta make hay while the sun shines.

Enjoy the weekend – it’s going to be beautiful!!
