    Lilies

Already posted two “weekend images” but the rain let up and I couldn’t resist. About ten years ago we purchased four Asiatic lilies for a Prom background. Post-prom-pictures we stuck them in the ground at the back of our home. Over the years we’ve split them numerous times and now every year we have beautiful “lily bushes” with dozens and dozens of blooms.

And here’s my other photo of he day for the weekend. This image was made in 2006 in Estes Park, Colorado. If you’ve never been to Estes Park you have to go there. Kate and I were ready to sell the studio, pack up and move west. It is a very cool place.

Of all the gorgeous landscapes I took in Colorado – this was one of Kate’s favorites. I’m finally getting around to making a print for her. Three years later – that’s not bad.CarmApp

Okay – it’s the weekend and it’s Father’s Day so I’m cheating a little. I wanted to post a picture – taken today – of our garden. It’s raining. (but I’m still cooking ribs on the Egg!)

This is an image of a coneflower I took last year – probably sometime towards the end of June. We have LOTS Coneflwrof coneflowers in our garden. They re-seed themselves so they just continue to expand. I just wish they lasted longer.

Over the long winter months we completely redesigned our Baby Plan program – now know as “Bebe Steps”. An incredible value at $199, it includes four custom designed portrait sessions during your babies first 12 months. Featured here are our new line of frames we call Whimsy frames. All are hand-painted in a wide variety of colors and patterns to match the decor of any baby’s room – or Mom and Dad’s;-).WildSorb_1WildSorb_2WildSorb_3

As you can imagine, with the weather so far this spring, we were rained out for Megan’s outdoor portraits. We rescheduled for this morning and managed to get several nice images just before it started raining yet again. This image is from the Plummer House and is a good spot in the morning with it’s directional lighting.M_Axtell_pod

AS_podThis is Allie and my choice for “Picture of the Day”. Allie elected to have the outdoor images from her Senior portrait session done at her home. It was a great choice. This image is at the stair railing leading up to their deck. I like how the colors of her shirt and railing create harmony as well as the softness of the background.
